Why Trees Kill Your Starlink Signal (And What to Do About It)
Published by Uplink Wireless | Serving Henderson County & East Texas
East Texas is beautiful. Tall pines, sprawling oaks, thick canopy everywhere you look. But if you're trying to run Starlink, those trees are your biggest enemy.
Starlink needs a clear view of the sky to communicate with satellites. Even partial tree obstruction causes dropouts, slow speeds, and frustrating interruptions.
Solutions That Actually Work
1. Roof Mount (Best Option)
Getting the dish above the tree line is the most reliable solution.
2. Tall Pole Mount
A 20โ30 foot pole in a clear area of your yard can get the dish above surrounding trees.
3. Strategic Tree Trimming
Sometimes trimming a few branches is all it takes.
4. Relocate the Dish
Sometimes the best spot isn't where you first put it.
